Salvation is for everyone

How to become saved:

First, let us look at God’s word.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:8

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:12

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

What is sin and how did it come to be?

Sin is when we actively disobey God’s Laws. An example is when he told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden. When they disobeyed his law for the first time in the garden it brought about the sin nature we have today. Every person has sin in their lives. There are none that are not predisposed to sinful nature. This is why Jesus was sent to die for us. He was the sacrifice to atone for our sin nature. It is not enough to try to be a good person. We all must accept Jesus as our savior. You can do that by excepting him right now. If you believe he died for you and you receive him and confess him as your savior you are saved.

So you except Jesus now you want to know what to do next. Start by reading the Bible. It is God’s Holy Word. It is important to read God’s Word for yourself! Why you ask? Do you remember in school playing a game where you would say something to a person then they would repeat it to the next till it went full circle and by the time it got back to the one who started it the sentence was totally different! Well, you see knowing for yourself is very important! You want God’s word not the product of mankind!

It is important to read the word of God yourself and not take other peoples word for it. We are only human and can make mistakes. Best know for yourself God’s Word! Keep in mind that God also speaks to you through his word. There is something in it for every situation you face in life. It is for you and for you to use to grow. God’s word helps free us from our old way of thinking. It has the power to free us from shame, guilt, anger, pain, confusion the list goes on and on.

Knowing how to pray is just as important as knowing God’s word!

We pray to talk to God. You can tell him everything and trust that he does care and listen! You are never alone he is always with you! We ask our requests in Jesus name! See next scripture:

I Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.

When you pray you can talk to God about your problems and also you can thank him for what he has done for you! He loves you and longs to hear your voice!

This brings me to our end topic for today. Find a church that is Bible-based. One that uses God’s Word to teach and to live by. You might want to visit several churches before you pick one. Keep in mind what you are looking for. It is okay to have needs for childcare during service and even keep in mind if you and your family need counseling you should talk to the pastor and see what your prospective church offers! In the family of God, you can find the love, help, and support you and your family need to help you all grow in God’s Word and become a secure family unit!

A home church gives you the following: people who share your faith, a place to hear God’s Word as well as to worship God and show your love for him through praise and service. A stable environment of love and support for you and your children to learn and grow in God’s Word. A home church also helps keep you motivated to read God’s Word and share it with others! You can make Christian friends who can help you pray through any hardships you encounter and be a support to your family when needed!

Ok, there are probably a few of you asking what does salvation have to do with parenting? Think of it like this, all the guilt, shame, confusion, fear, pain, anger, and any other emotion that has crept into your life can be let go of. You can give it all to God and accept his Son’s sacrifice and the love it brings you. You no longer would be bound by those feelings that torment you! You can let go and let Jesus have them. What would it mean to you to be able to live free from all the baggage you have been carrying? What would you do differently? Would it change your feelings toward yourself and others? Salvation frees you to become the person that God would have you be. A free person who can love freely and be loved freely. God offers to mold and shapes you as well as heal your brokenness.

This offers you hope. You can then offer hope to your family. when life becomes overwhelming you have this hope to sustain you and your family. You can move forward with your life pleasing not just God but also finding peace and joy for yourself! Your children will respond to your joy and love. They will reap the benefit of your freedom in the form of freedom of their own!

Remember there are no good people. We are all born with a sin nature and need salvation! There are also no perfect parents. We all make mistakes and have issues we need to work through! Our ability to become a better parent starts with Jesus. The love, support, and change we all need can be found in God’s Holy Word.

    1. Thank You so much! I was a bit worried it was not good enough to post! LOL! I am bad to write and re-write then toss my ideas. I promised myself not to do that this time and to really put myself out there for Christ! Thank you for your kind words and support!
